Garden Design

Garden Design

Residential Landscape Design

I design sustainable landscapes with the use of artistry, technology (Irrigation, lighting, horticulture, soil structure and biology), and a good ear for my client's needs.

My primary goals are to design an ecologically sustainable garden, and educate my clients about safe and ecologically sensible practices for their outdoor space. I also strive to create the feeling in the garden that helps my clients escape from the pressures of the day to their own garden retreat. Read more...

I start by sharing knowledge with you, so that we can together design a successful garden that you can manage as it matures, even if you are not a gardener.

For properties where a water budget calculation is now required by state ordinance, I do the required calculations and design within the water budget. I work with licensed professionals, such as Landscape Architects, Contractors, and Engineers, as needed to insure that you have a complete plan when permits are required. I usually do irrigation plans appropriate for the garden design.

Design services are charged by the hour, as each site is different, and each client's needs vary. The proposal is an ESTIMATE of the hours and services needed for the project.

PLANT PROCUREMENT

Plant Procurement

I usually search for, purchase, and place the plants to insure you get the correct plants in the correct place for a successful result. Contractor's employees are not familiar with many drought-tolerant, native, and new plants, and this makes their job easier too.
